MSI-ACI is a company that, among other things, offers an online analytics tool that assesses the value of online campaigns that our clients have submitted to us. In order to demonstrate the results regarding the value of advertising and to enable advertisers to track the effectiveness of their advertising campaign, MSI-ACI collects various data about the audience that views and experiences these campaigns. After we have aggregated this data and made it anonymous, our customers can view the results of their campaign on our online dashboard. After signing up, our customers will be able to view the relevant data of a campaign monitored by MSI-ACI under a designated agreement. The data that our customers see is always aggregated and cannot be traced back to you.
As a market research agency, ACI provides data to its clients that is filled in by respondents when answering questionnaires. This data is processed in tables, diagrams and graphs and delivered to the client and does not contain any personally identifiable information after merging. As a result, MSI-ACI's principals never obtain your personally identifiable information. Data from questionnaires is generally supplemented with data on: age, gender, income, education, Nielsen district, size of your household, employment status. Insofar as this data is known to us.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small files of information (in the form of text) that a server sends to the browser (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox) so that the browser sends this information back to the server the next time a user goes to a specific web page. Cookies do not harm your computer or the files stored on it.
When you registered with one of the panel providers to which MSI-ACI is affiliated, such as Dynata, Panel Inzicht, Toluna, PlanetPanel (hereinafter: panel providers), you have specifically and unambiguously given your consent to ACI to install cookies on your computer so that your browsing behavior can be tracked. You have also given MSI-ACI consent to process the information collected through cookies, for the purpose of analyzing the effectiveness of certain campaigns of our customers, as described above.
After you have given MSI-ACI permission to install a cookie on your computer, ACI may, in accordance with the previous paragraph, determine how long and on which specific web page you have interacted with advertisements from our customers. When you visit a web page that displays an advertisement from one of our customers, the cookies installed on your computer transmit to MSI-ACI a unique number associated with your Internet browser. The cookies we store are called MSIACI and are stored in the domain http://site.msi-aci.com.
After MSI-ACI installs a cookie on your computer with your consent and you visit a web page that displays one of our advertisements, the cookie gives us your unique ID number assigned to you after your registration with a panel provider. This unique number is linked to the information you have submitted to one of our panel providers. The information you have provided to the panel provider will be transferred to MSI-ACI upon your consent to install a cookie on your computer. After we retrieve your ID number from the cookie installed by MSI-ACI, we compare this unique number to our database of information about Internet users using our cookie installed on their computer. You have given us permission to collect and process the information that you have provided to the panel provider and that is available to us after we have found your unique ID number in the database. The information that MSI-ACI has access to and that MSI-ACI may process after associating your unique ID with our database is always limited to your:
age;
gender;
income;
education;
Nielsendistrict;
Size of your household;
Work status.
ACI collects certain information about you in order to make the Service work as optimally as possible (for example, to generate and display data correctly and to keep the Service secure). Therefore, MSI-ACI collects automatically generated data about you.
This information includes your IP address (your computer's unique number that identifies your computer), your browser type (the computer program you use to view Internet pages), your operating system, and the web pages you visit that contain a campaign from one of MSI-ACI's customers.
MSI-ACI may use and combine these different types of personal information for the following purposes:
To aggregate and display this information to our customers who have submitted a campaign that you have viewed, visited, or otherwise interacted with, within the secure environment of the customer's personal account in our dashboard; For security purposes and to generate anonymous statistical data.
After MSI-ACI obtains your personal information, this data is aggregated before it is displayed in ACI's dashboard. This aggregated information is processed into tables, charts and graphs to represent the audience that comes into contact with our clients' campaigns. Once this data has been aggregated, the information no longer contains any personally identifiable information. As a result, MSI-ACI customers never obtain your personally identifiable information. MSI-ACI will not disclose your personal information to third parties for commercial purposes unless you have given your explicit consent to do so. MSI-ACI will only disclose your personal data to third parties if required to do so under national or international law, jurisprudence and/or regulation or if MSI-ACI deems it necessary to do so in the defense of its own rights.
MSI-ACI takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your (personal) information against loss or any form of unlawful use.
We believe it is important that you understand your rights
Any personally identifiable information that MSI-ACI holds about you will be transferred to us upon your specific, unambiguous, and voluntary consent (opt-in) to the collection and processing of this information. If you no longer want MSI-ACI to process the information about you as described above, you may withdraw your consent at any time (opt-out). You can do this by sending an email to rtiesselinck@msi-aci.com. Once you withdraw your consent, MSI-ACI will delete all of your personal information. However, the tables, charts, and graphs that contain aggregated data will not be altered because they do not contain any personally identifiable information about you. The consent you have given to store and read cookies can also be revoked at any time by disabling cookies in your browser and/or deleting all cookies from your browser. Please refer to your browser's Help function for instructions on how to delete cookies. Please note that deleting cookies may affect your agreement with a panel provider and limit your browsing experience.
If you would like to know what specific information MSI-ACI has collected about you or if you would like to change data that you cannot change yourself, you may submit this request to rtiesselinck@msi-aci.com. MSI-ACI aims to provide you with this information within 4 weeks.
For technical and operational reasons, it may be considered necessary that your (personal) data be transferred to (the servers of) companies affiliated with MSI-ACI, located in the United States or other countries outside Europe. In this case, the information in your account will also be stored abroad. Since data protection laws may not provide the same protections as in the European Union, we will only transfer your personally identifiable information to the United States or other countries outside of Europe that are consistent with European privacy laws.
The Privacy Policy may change in the future. In this case, it will be stated on (your personal account on) the website of the panel provider you have registered with, so it is advisable to check this page regularly.
